Fernando Méndez has more than 30 years of experience in different functions within Human Resources. Since 2002, he has held leadership positions at CEMEX, including: Director of HR Planning and Development at CEMEX Spain, Director of Human Resources for CEMEX Central America, South America and the Caribbean, and Vice President of Human Resources for CEMEX Mexico, a role he has had since December 2015.
As part of his role, Fernando manages the areas of Planning and Talent Development, Compensation and Benefits, Labor Relations, well-being, and Internal Communication, among others.
He participates as a member of the Council of the Asociación Mexicana de Recursos Humanos (AMEDIRH) that in 2018 recognized him as Human Resources Executive of the year. He is a Councilor at ERIAC Capital Humano, Coparmex Nuevo León and the Centro de Estudios Sociales del Noreste (CESNE), as well as a promoter of the labor inclusion of people with disabilities, participating in the Councils of éntrale and Movimiento Congruencia.
Fernando has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Monterrey, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and a Master’s in Business Leadership from DUXX, Graduate School of Business Leadership.
